Answering Your Questions
-
Your first session is an intake where we focus on getting to know each other and building a connection. I'll ask questions about your background, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from therapy. You'll have space to share your story and decide how much feels comfortable to discuss. This initial conversation helps me understand your unique situation so we can create the right approach together. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard and with a sense of whether we're a good fit for working together.

Yes, all sessions are fully virtual, which means you can connect from wherever feels most comfortable for you. Many clients find that virtual therapy actually allows for deeper conversations since they're in their own personal space. All you need is a private area, a reliable internet connection, and a device with a camera. I'll send you a secure link before each session.

If you're asking this question, you're already taking an important step! Therapy might be right for you if you're feeling stuck, experiencing difficult emotions, navigating challenging relationships, or simply wanting to understand yourself better. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy—many people come when they're doing okay but know they could be feeling more fulfilled.

I work with individuals over 18, helping them feel safe and supported to share their thoughts and feelings about stressors, friendships, family, and other life challenges. I’d be happy to recommend some great therapists who specialize in working with individuals under 18.

My approach to therapy is rooted in authenticity and understanding. Having experienced many of the same challenges my clients face—from student burnout to workplace stress to working mom fatigue—I can truly relate to what you're going through. I create a judgment-free zone where you won't get judged no matter what you share. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable opening up because they know I'm someone who genuinely cares about meeting them exactly where they are in life.

That’s okay! If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. This allows me to offer that time to someone else who might need it. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a $50 fee.
